Been a while since we posted anything on here, but it's time to wipe off the dust on this blog.

Jay-Z vs. The Game ?

Another rap beef? I honestly wonder who actually cares about rap beefs anymore. It seems that most of the time the rap beefs these days are between mediocre rappers anyways, so most people seem to yawn. However, The Game taking shots at Hov is almost worth paying attention to. My understanding is that Jay-z took shots at The Game in a HOT 97 freestyle... but after listening to it... I can't honestly say that Jay-z directed his comments to The Game. However there is no question that this latest diss track "I'm So Wavy" is directed at Jay-z.



Say what you want about that track, but I think The Game shoulda listened to Jay-z destroying Nas on Supa Ugly, and thought twice. I especially like the line from it where Jay-z talks about sleeping w/ Nas' girl - "u was kissin my dick when u was kissin that bitch". JIGGA IS MEAN! The Game better watch out.. he's poking the bear with this whole thing.

Lock Shit Down (VIDEO)

Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 fame and Talib Kweli deliver a new song for ya. It's funny, cuz Chali 2na has such a distinct voice, but I've never seen what he looks like until now. The vid is worth watching though.

Not My Girl (SINGLE) and Something That I Like (SINGLE)

New Ryan Leslie track that's supposed to be the first single off his upcoming album Transition, due out in the fall. An up tempo, catchy song with Ryan Leslie's signature production style all over it. I new I liked the song within 3 seconds of listening to it...

MJ Tribute: Better On The Other Side (SINGLE + VIDEO)

This song surfaced less than 24 hours after the announcement of Michael Jackson's passing and features The Game, Nas, Chris Brown, Usher, Diddy, Boyz II Men, Polow Da Don and Mario Winans. On a first listen, this song is incredibly powerful...it'll definitely be on my playlist for the next while.

Supernova (VIDEO)

New video for the lead single off Mr Hudson's upcoming album. Pretty solid visuals for an inspired track. For those of you that don't know, Mr Hudson is a UK artist signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label. He also helped to write most of the songs for 808s and Heartbreak with Kanye.

Whatever U Want (SINGLE)

New track from Consequence feat. John Legend and Kanye West. This is the first single from Cons' upcoming albuming ConsTV, coming out in October 09. I like what I hear.

I know I'm late on this one, but I've been bumping this one on my iPod for the last few days. Mariah Carey's new single Obsessed from the upcoming album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel coming out in August. Supposedly this is a diss track aimed at Eminem...wtf? Producer: Tricky Stewart and The-Dream.
